For this rendition of gore makeup, I wanted to do something that wasn’t just gore for the sake of gore. This is a skill I already know  I can do, it’s certainly something that I can improve on, but it wasn’t what I had the motivation for this week.

So, I decided to do some mild gore on top of some basic femine makeup. This was my fresh face today after shaving!

For today’s makeup I used ben nye as my foundation, for highlight in some of my injuries, and for blood. I used Nyx’s smokey palette for my eyes, Urban Decay’s Vice Lipstick, and Colour pop’s glitterly obsessed.

I started off doing a very very basic smokey eye, not worrying too much about getting it perfect, as I was going to mess it up later anyways for the look. I also did my contour using the same colors in the eye to help the look keep dark. In contrast I also added some glitter, I enjoy how they’re shiny like tears, and I’ll pull them down later to make the look more runny.

Next, I brought the glitter down as stated above. I also added some mascara to create more of the runny look. I also put on lipstick and smudged it immediately. In hindsight, I think it would have helped to add a gloss to the lipstick so that it looked more like it should have smudged because it did dry matte.

After all of this, I went through and added some very minor injuries. Though the rest of the makeup is definitely pulling the weight here. I tried to do a small cut on the lip, but the red and everything else I had kept blending. Adding a smudge of blood under the lip though I feel did help. I also added some redness and bruising under the pictured right eye, which I really enjoy how that turned out. I also added a small cut under the pictured left eye, though front on it doesn’t look the best, it looks pretty good at other angles.

Also, obligatory casualty for this look: Tom Nook
